My Thoughts on Age!

Good morning Mrs Amara and AVL community. I have seen a lot of people lie about their age before getting married even men do it these days, and yes we all know telling lies is bad but a lot of men always asking how old a lady is before having a relationship with her.
I personally feel that if you ask about someone's age before the relationship starts, you don't love the person to start with.... I stand to be corrected, we are all learning. An aunty of mine kept telling her real age and all the men she told never came back, she said most of them told her they can't marry someone who is expired or has reached 30, she is 32 but told the man she married she is 28 and she looked it, she looks very young...... What do you have to say about the age thing?

Marriage is a sacred covenant with God and one that must be established on a solid foundation of sincerity of heart, mutual commitment and trust in the partners who have decided to separate themselves from the world and grow together in love with each other.
Anything that is not the truth, anything that is deceptive or manipulative has the potential to destroy the marriage.
This is why no matter the perception of anyone, no matter the suggestion of anyone, and no matter our reasons and wisdom for telling lies about anything that concerns the individual is totally unacceptable and not pardonable for any reason.
Many marriages have been dissolved because of one form of lies or another and no matter how anyone may try to hide the truth, sometimes it shows up when he or she least expects it.
So instead of lying about your age because of the opinions of fake men and immature men, only for you to get married and then start looking for many excuses to counter your lies, it's safer, simpler and more convenient to say the truth and allow him to decide whether to continue with the relationship or to quit the relationship.
There are some basic information that anyone who wishes to venture into relationship must ask so that he or she will not be worried or troubled about anything concerning his partner.
They include the blood genotype, age, state of Origin and place of worship. This is not a criteria to measure who loves an individual or who doesn't.
If for example as a lady you don't want to marry a younger man as a husband and a man of 22 years approaches you for a relationship and you were 30 years then, will you conveniently continue with the relationship?
Everyone has his or her own taste and choice of who to marry and I don't feel that one should be condemned for wishing to marry a younger or older partner depending on their own desires but what matters is that one settles for what one is comfortable with.
So it would be inappropriate to say that anyone who wishes to know the age of an individual doesn't love the person.

  1. How can your 'aunty' be 32yrs old, then How old are you???
Dear poster, I suspect you are the 'aunty' in question.
Meanwhile, your 'aunty' was kindling with younger boys (I guess) being the reason those younger 'boy's kept running off once they got to know her age.
I expect we toll with people a little older than us and not lil' boys.
