Shit Happens: My Rape Experience!

I want to share one of my wilderness story with you...
I came across a story trending lately about a lady that was raped by a guy and a lot of people were saying different things against the girl, this prompted me to write you. Shit happens..

After my first marriage crashed, I was doing all I could to stand on my own. I tried music, modelling, acting, business just about any legitimate thing to keep going..

I met this gospel artist, he owns a band and popular in Lagos.
His then fiancé and I went to do backup singing in one studio, that's how I met him. So he told me about an advert, that they needed someone of my stature, he said he will call me when he talks to the man in-charge, so knowing his girlfriend I didn't suspect him.

One evening, he called me to rush down to surulere. I jumped up and left Egbeda to Surulere to the hotel he said the man was, I was made to wait at the reception till it was very late. I was a struggling woman and had little money on me, so going home to return the following day was not an option for me. He kept calling the man who kept saying he was on his way..

He later said I can sleep in his hotel room till morning, because it was too late, he opted to sleep on the couch. Being a well respected man, I didn't fear much..

Later that night, I was fast asleep when I felt a movement on my body. I opened my mouth to scream but he used the pillow to press my face and said he will kill me here. Immediately my life flashed through my eyes, and I said if I die now, what will happen to my kids..

I cried and begged him but he wouldn't hear. He forcefully had his way while I gnashed my teeth in pain and tears.

Funny enough when he was through, he started begging me to forgive, that he has never done such to anyone before, that his career will suffer, his girl will leave him bla bla bla..

I was broken and curled up in one corner of the room till morning. Before 6am, the man he was waiting for came around, he told me to pretend all was well, that if the man senses anything, his own is finished.

In my confused state, I just sat still. The man asked me few questions which I didn't answer well, the man left saying, 'is this how I want to do in the advert?'

I picked myself and went home, called one of my friend on the island who told me to go straight to hospital for clean up, that my friend came and settled the bills for drugs I was given.

When I told him who did the raping, he was shocked because if you see the way this man worships God with songs, you will think he is headed to heaven.

My friend called him and said " I know what you did" he responded thus " what was she doing alone in a hotel room with me??

My friend threatened to kill him silently after giving him details of his movement on the island, he started begging asking for us to negotiate payment for damages. I just told my friend to let it go that it's a lesson I needed to learn about trusting people simply because they call God..
This is the first time am telling this story..

So yeah a lady can find herself in an awkward position, and she will be taken advantage of.. Things happen.. I don't know her story but from experience I believe what she is saying.. One guy can rape a grown lady, he just need to intimidate her first and put fear in her mind, and like film trick he will have his way..

I just say don't trust anyone behind closed doors. Shit happens..

I believe that God have healed you of this traumatic experience. Exposing rapists and punishing them legally remains one of the major ways to combat this demon destroying vulnerable individuals. 

For every rapist protected, you make the environment vulnerable to rape tendencies from him. 

Every individual, parent, and child needs to unite against satanic individuals who are roaming around, looking for who to rape. 

Together we will protect our society from rape.
