Is It A Sin To Marry A Divorcee?

Good evening Aunty. I bless God for your ministry, family and all that is yours. May God continue to strengthen you, Amen. I just met this new man in church going to almost a month now. He is a very open person, sincere, and honest too. A born again Christian though not really deep yet but he is willing to grow. He has been staying outside for almost sixteen years but came back few months ago on vacation.

He was married for two years and has two issues from the marriage but got divorced in 2013 due to irreconcilable differences including infidelity on the part of the woman (he actually gave me the court judgement and the audio recordings of the divorce proceedings to read and listen to). The woman and the two children are in US and she has been given full custody. Although he works in the white House (I have proofs already) but he wants to start a new life here in Nigeria now.
He is all I have been praying for all these while especially his openess, sincerity and honesty. I am gradually falling in love with him and he really wants to marry me and on time too. He is an ophan although was even born out of wedlock all which he told me voluntary.
My only challenge is the issue of his being a divorcee. What is your take on a single lady marrying a divorcee? I am a born again Christian, and raised up under the strictest Christian values and principles. He is 38 while I am 30. Is it a sin for me. He has been divorced for three years now.

He's divorced which means that he has a legal right to remarry if he so wishes to do so.
The question is, what's your perception and convictions about getting married to him.
Your parents raised you with good values, now is the best time to decide what is more important to you at this point in your life.
If you are comfortable with getting married to your partner, kindly go ahead and marry him, but if you feel that it's a taboo for a Christian to marry a divorcee, please leave him and pray for your own husband.
As much as nobody prays or wishes to marry and divorce from his or her marriage, divorce is not a sin, nor does divorcing limit anyone from having a personal relationship with God.
God hates divorce but he never ruled it out in a marital journey, and in some marriages divorce is the only way to save some individuals from death or horrible marital experience.
Is getting divorce a sin? No. But the choice to either marry a divorcee or not is solely yours.
The decision to either remain single or to marry a divorcee is a personal decision, and you're the only one who knows what is most important to you, and what you need at this point in your life.

  1. Hi everyone, I'm so excited.
My ex-boyfriend is back after a breakup,I’m extremely happy that will are living together again.
My name is Mary Wilkie from England.
My boyfriend of a 4yr just broke up with me and am 30 weeks pregnant.I have cried my self to sleep most of the nights and don’t seem to concentrate during lectures sometimes I stay awake almost all night thinking about him and start to cry all over again.Because of this I end up not having energy for my next day’s classes ,my attendance has dropped and am always in uni and on time.Generally he is a very nice guy ,he ended it because he said we were arguing a lot and not getting along. He is right we’ve been arguing during the pregnancy a lot .After the break up I kept ringing him and telling him I will change.I am in love with this guy and he is the best guy I have ever been with.I’m still hurt and in disbelief when he said he didn’t have any romantic feelings towards me anymore that hurt me faster than a lethal syringe. He texts me now and then mainly to check up on how am doing with the pregnancy,he is supportive with it but it’s not fair on me, him texting me as I just want to grieve the pain and not have any stress due to the pregnancy.i was really upset and i needed help, so i searched for help online and I came across a website that suggested that Dr Unity can help solve marital problems, restore broken relationships and so on. So, I felt I should give him a try. I contacted him and he told me what to do and i did it then he did a spell for me. 28 hours later, my bf came to me and apologized for the wrongs he did and promise never to do it again. Ever since then, everything has returned back to normal. I and my bf are living together happily again.. All thanks to Dr Unity. If you have any problem contact Dr.Unity now and i guarantee you that he will help you.Email him at: Unityspelltemple@gmail.com ,you can also call him or add him on Whats-app: +2348071622464 ,His website: http://unityspelltemple.yolasite.com .
