This is not my first time of writing to you. I have something to talk to you about, it is not a relationship issues but my heart tells me to talk to you because talking to you will bring peace to me.
I am somebody that like doing good, helping people and rendering help in a little way I can afford but the problem am having is that I end up doing good to some ungrateful people, that at the end they make me feel I have never done anything good.
Many of a time, I have decided not to render any help to anybody, be it money or otherwise but my conscience will not let me. The people that hurt my feelings are the ones I have been of help to. Even when I take some sacrifice to render help, it's the one I could not do that will be noticed.
Please aunty Amara what do you think will be the best way to handle this. Thank you as I wait for your response.

I love the way the Message Paraphrase explained that passage. No matter how much you love, no matter how much you help, no matter the sacrifices you have made, someone somewhere, somehow sometime will say something hurtful and painful to discourage you or to make mockery of your genuine love and sacrifices but we are encouraged by the word of never to let the opinions of anyone stop you from doing good.
Remember that every good that you do on earth is a great seed on a fertile ground, which will germinate, grow forth and bring so much fruits for your life, your family, your community and your generation.
Will anything or anyone stop you from sowing seeds of greatness for your generation? Will you let the ingratitude and the criticisms of anyone stop you from fulfilling God's mandate on your life and destiny?
Except if you were called by them or you were doing that to please them. Except if you are expecting them to reward you, if you are genuinely convinced that you are an extraordinary being called to fulfil God's purpose for your life, to be a blessing to anyone, to support, to pray to sacrifice and to strengthen one another, then do not let anyone kill your passion to help and to give.
Do not be discouraged or lose hope, because your reward is coming God who sees the intentions and the motivation of your heart. Keep doing good, make amends where necessary but don't be deterred or discouraged by anything or anyone.
Your heart of love and genuine affection will not go unrewarded on earth and beyond.
