Good day ma, God bless you. My parents have been married for 33 years now, some days ago my mum reported my dad to me that he was requesting for N5000 from her, that it's urgent because he was going to church on a Sunday morning, she denied him the money.
She said she was on her way to church when she heard my dad's phone rang, on picking the calls she heard a lady saying she is waiting for my dad in an hotel with a room number, that where is him.
Ma, I was short of words, I promised her I will call my dad the next day.
I called my dad and told him to give his life to christ because lot of things have being happening in our family, he is supposed to be praying for his children, actually he is an elder in a well known church.
He reported me to my younger brother, that he is the most prayerful person in the house. Ma, did I do anything wrong by telling my dad to give his life to God.
There's nothing wrong with what you did, and I don't think that you should be worried about his reactions to your admonition. Even if he's the most prayerful elder in the whole universe, it doesn't mean that he won't be tempted and even if he stumbles and fall, he can still rise again.
Though I may not know how you went about telling him to give his life to God, but the truth is that he needed someone to help him realise where he slipped so that he can make amends.
Even if he had good intentions for visiting the hotel that morning, he ought to inform his wife of his intentions before demanding for the money, assuming he's going for an evangelism (remember I said assuming).
On your part, please pray for him and pray that God will help him to overcome the temptations that may come his way. Pray that God will help him to stand and be a hero of faithfulness, love and peace.
