Should I call his wife?

Hi Aunty Amara, thank you for helping people solve relationship issue.
I'm a married woman with kids and I was having issues with my husband at some point, I was so devastated because i don't share my family problem with anybody but this particular one was choking me and i needed to talk to somebody else i will take a rash decision.

To cut the story short i met a man that i became free with he has a family that stays abroad we share family issues together, he was a nice person he advised me on the right path and he blamed me when I was wrong.

I was lucky he didn't take advantage of my situation but rather stood by me like a true brother until the issue in my family was resolved and i was happy again.

The problem now is that his wife thinks we are dating, I haven't seen him for over eight months now because he was abroad with his family, they returned over a month ago but still we've not seen he had called me twice.

But the second time he called he told me that there was a new month message i sent him and I said "happy new month dear" she asked why i referred to him as dear but he told her that there's no big deal in a friend calling him dear.

I chatted him up yesterday and the wife responded by asking me who i was, calling me all sort of names, saying am a home wrecker.

I don't know if he's having an affair with somebody but definitely not with me and i have not been able to talk to him because when i called, it was his wife that picked and I hung up.

I don't know what was happening in his family
This man helped me when I was having issues and i don't want to be the cause of his family problem that i don't even know.

Should i call this woman and clear the issue with her?
She's misunderstanding me I have a family and i don't want any family wrecked because of me.

Please advice me ma.

Dear sender,
I understand your concern about his family and his happiness.
But you wouldn't in your quest to clear up your name from her mind be faster than her husband.
I believe her husband is handling this as mature and responsible as he ought to.
Should he need you to call and clarify issues with his wife, then you may go ahead and call the wife.
For now I would suggest that you stop sending messages and reaching out to him.
Not because they're bad or probably because you have hidden agenda but because if your good intentions would end up hurting another lady, it would be wise not to do that so as to protect the trust sincerity and love in their home.
Pray for his family and please keep your space from him for now.
I am hopeful that they'll be fine sooner than you thought possible.
I'm certain that you may have picked a lesson or two from this experience.
I pray that God will give you the wisdom and understanding to be a great help in your home.
