Our church stand on marriage is that the dowry must be paid before the Church wedding and we don't have money for two days wedding. Am confused, I need the marriage certificate in my place of work so we planned to go to the registry with two of our family member and if Church get to know and discipline us for that, we will with leave that branch to another branch. I don't know if that is a right decision. Their reason is that we are setting bad example.
Note that we have started to attend the church marriage class and we are ready to do all the test (Hiv, genotype, blood group, ultrasound, and pregnancy test) they asked us to do.
This is what I suggest that you should consider. Since you wish to cut down your expenses for your wedding, you can go for a traditional wedding on a Friday for example and then go with few of your family members for a wedding without reception. This can either be done very early on Saturday morning or even on a Sunday morning or evening depending on when it is convenient for the church. The reason is because the church wedding incorporates the wedding certificate and the blessing of the marriage.
The second option is to let the marriage committee members or teachers or leaders know that you do not have the financial capacity to host a wedding with reception and that if the church can support you with funds, then both of you will definitely wed in the church and set good example to others.
If the church is not willing to support you or at least allow both to have a wedding without any flamboyance or reception, please go ahead with your plans and enjoy your marriage.
It will be unfair for the church to push you into venturing into what you cannot manage financially, and you can decide whether to continue with the church or go to a church where you are comfortable with.

It all started about February 2012 and the first symptoms I started experiencing were non-productive cough and chest pain. I consulted with consultant physicians and ENT surgeons at different hospitals and I was subjected to diverse laboratory investigations, all to no avail. I took several X-rays of the chest and did CT scan of both the chest and the neck.
